| My Report on the Warped Tour.
from Milwaukee, Wisconsin: .. uh I don't have anything clever to say
about the place, except the people at The Rave are nazis but that's
another story. 4 August 2003 (my 22nd birthday if you care)

Photographs: myself and THE JACKSON! Chris in frontman mode. Jackson! Scott and Pete the Gimmes! another one of my favorite performances, the Mad Caddies. warning: these are excerpted ramblings from my livejournal. and
yes i realize my writing ability has gotten worse since the 2001 Warped
Tour. hah. he said 'oh good, I was just trying to keep it on the legal side' me: 'oh don't worry, i'm old. i feel old being here' and i said something about there were kids my brother's age here and Chris said how he feels old every day. aww. the bassist for the next band was playing this riff and Scott was like 'omg do you hear that? doesn't it sound like that one i made up when iw as 12 years old .. that one i said sounded like the top of the water?' to Chris. then Scott looked at me and said something like 'uh, don't ask.' haha. i talked to Pete for a minute, saying good show even though he hit himself in the eye with a drumstick, and he told me how he usually hits himself in the nose. hah. so i said to them that since it was my birthday, could i get a picture? they said of course so now i have a pic of me with jackson on that disposable camera. yay. they asked if i was going to check out Me First and face to face and i showed them i had it written on my hand. Chris said it was good talking to me again and i gave him a hug because i had to heehee. I wandered around and ended up watching the Suicide Machines, which was good. Rancid played at 3.30. The Gimmes played at 4. they were so funny. and they closed with 'stairway to heaven'. oh and at one point Spike and Fat Mike showed off their tummys - uh, they must never go out in the sun shirtless. heh, then Shifty lifted his shirt up and he's all tan and fit hehe. I can't remember much of the rest of the set, although thanks to Nicole, I remembered they played 'All my Lovin', 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' (aka the gayest song of the day hehe), and 'I believe I can Fly'. The rest is a little hazy. When the Gimmes were done i went over and watched like one song of Rise Against. The one song i really know. yay. Then i headed back to see face to face. but by then my ears were pretty much spent so i moved over to the other stage to get ready for Mad Caddies. they got on stage and just were amazing. i was in the front row so that made it even better. set included 'drinking for 11' and that one from 'Rock the Plank' (i know what i mean, so don't worry about it). ((Now i know it's called 'Mary Melody' *g*)) then i swore i was going to let my ears recover so i went to sit down, then started to get cold so i went and bought me a Mad Caddies shirt. then i sat down through Pennywise. I suffered through Simple Plan then went up to stand and wait for Thrice. The crowd was getting pissed at Simple Plan - twas fun. Thrice was great. i wish i knew more of their stuff. And thus was the greatest birfday ever. Many thanks go out to Chris and Jackson. =)
