A story starring various bands, me, my lovely but clueless friend Jake, foovita and Chris..!

. so i did all sorts of mundane things like went to class and got gas and went to the ATM. then Jake called me and my phone went crazy, so i called him back then we headed out. we went to a gas station to get something to drink, and as i went to pull out, this asshat in a giant SUV parked right in front of me! anyway, we drove down there and got there, but as soon as we got to the road we needed, it was a. closed and b. pouring down rain. so we went in search of a taco bell but ended up at Arby's. then we drove back, and found the parking garage and all sorts of fun stuff. i grabbed my disposable camera and we went to the free concert that was going on under the highway (yes, really). Three bands played, one was Haste, who was pretty good .. and another called Burning Brides, which Jake kept calling Naked Babies hehe. well, we weren't too interested in Burning Brides, so we headed inside. me and Jake did some sneaky moves to get me some beer, because i forgot my ID in the car. we sat up in the stands before Cave-in played.

. Cave-in was okay. i was having a serious lack of attention span though.

. Transplants were awesome. and its always fun to have a band that about 2% of the audience actually knows who they are, because then everybody else looks at you like you're crazy. hehe. Jake kept drinking beer and he left before they played their last two songs to throw away his cup. then he never came back. so i went looking for him. and he was standing at the front of the beer line! he was like 'butbut there was only 5 people in line and then they ran out of beer.' and i was like well just come and find me but he was like, no just wait for a minute please .. it was funnier there. so we went back in and met this guy who runs birminghamshows.com. and then we stood in the crowd and Jake discussed with me for at least 5 minutes about how he was going to have to go pee really soon. then he finally decided to go so he said meet him at the door if we lost each other.

. well, he wandered off and then the Foos came on! hehe. and i pushed my way up to the front. well, by the time it was over, i was one person from the front, on Chris' side of the stage, of course. so that wasn't too bad. they played Hey Johnny Park, and it was lovely. i'll just say i rocked out so hard, i couldn't hardly walk when it was over. =)

. afterwards, i gave Jake $20 so he could buy a Transplants shirt. and i waited outside. then we walked around the opposite way that we went in. then we stood out back for a bit, and this kid asked Jake if he had any pot .. he must have the look .. Travis Barker came out and Jake was all 'it would be weird to have kids asking for your autograph all the time.' well, then we decided to go but then Jake said 'hey there's your boy' (Chris) and he was saying that he was going to say 'you should have stayed in no use!' but i told him just to shut up. so we walked back over there and i heard somebody say 'David Smith thanks for getting the birthday book to Taylor.' so i turned around and said to her 'what's your name?' and she said 'Ashley' (i think..) and i said 'what's your name on the board?' and it was foovita. then i looked at Jake and he was like 'wtf?' and we were talking and confusing Jake even more. while that was going on, Chris was about to leave .. he said 'i have some ribs that are calling my name .. ' well i essentially blocked him there and i introduced myself, and i said that i met him 2 years ago at warped tour, and that i had the website. and he asked me if it had been on the board before .. and i said yeah, that a couple people had plugged it and that i didn't really feel comfortable doing that myself. and he said that yeah, he thinks he saw it before. and i asked for a picture and he said sure. once i finally got somebody to take it (i think foovita did) i stuck my tongue out at Jake, because he was giving me a funny look and that was that. then i think we shook hands and he said take care and all that .. i'm not good at remembering things like that... i just know i was there and i got to talk to him. =) and then Jake said i was glowing hahah.

. then we got on the wrong interstate, but we found a taco bell finally and ate in front of the car rug shampoo thing in honor of the Transplants hehe. yeah. then we finally made it back to Knoxville at about 5.30 mad tired.
